SmartShelf helps you find the best-value groceries across the major UK supermarkets — Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, Morrisons, Waitrose, Aldi and M&S.
We gather publicly listed prices and rank products by price-per-unit (£/kg, £/litre or each) so you can compare like-for-like and spot the cheapest option. Where available we also show loyalty prices (Clubcard, Nectar, More Card) and special offers, so you can see the true cost before you shop.
SmartShelf is purely an information service. We are independent — not affiliated with any retailer — and we don't sell, supply or deliver anything. To buy a product, follow its link to the relevant supermarket.
A note on coverage: Lidl does not currently publish its grocery prices online, so it isn't included in our comparisons. If that changes, SmartShelf will add Lidl automatically.

Purchases. To buy a product, visit the relevant retailer via its link; your purchase is governed entirely by that retailer's own terms and conditions and privacy policy.

What we collect. Your email address (if you subscribe to alerts or contact us) and the content of any message you send. Paid subscriptions (if offered) are handled by our payment provider — we don't store full card details. We also collect basic technical/usage data and cookies to run and improve the site.
Why & legal basis. To send the alerts you sign up for (consent, withdrawable anytime); to provide any subscription (contract); to reply to queries and keep the site secure and improving (legitimate interests).
Sharing. We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate (hosting, email-sending, payments), acting on our instructions, or where required by law.
The supermarkets. Prices come from publicly available sources. When you click through to a retailer you leave SmartShelf and that retailer's privacy policy applies. We are independent and not affiliated with any retailer.
Transfers & retention. Where providers process data outside the UK we rely on appropriate safeguards. We keep data only as long as needed (e.g. until you unsubscribe), then delete it.
Your rights. You can access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, object to processing, or withdraw consent — email us. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies & children. We use essential cookies to run the site (and any analytics cookies only with your choice). SmartShelf is not directed at children under 16.
